Just Read: Rose’s Will by Denise DeSio

I just finished Rose’s Will a fantastic debut novel that carefully balances wit with messy family drama Apparently the work is highly autobiographical, but it is a work of fiction.

The book is divided into three points of view and DeSio created three believable characters. Glory, Ricky, and Eli are complete full fledged people that come to life the moment they step off the page. I enjoyed seeing some of the same scenes from all three points of view. The reader immediately empathizes and understands them. The secondary characters were also wonderful–especially the Aunties. One of my favorite parts in the book is when we see Glory, Ricky, or Eli’s perspective of the Aunties, their motivations and their actions.

Rose’s Will is available from 48Fourteen or wherever you like to buy your ebooks.

  1. Thank you for the great review. Just one little thing: DeSio not DiSio.

One other thing: Did you ever get the interview I sent you?

    • Opps, I am so embarrassed. I’ll correct it on my blog. No, I did not get the interview. I checked my mail both of my mailboxes including the trash and it wasn’t there. Probably just a weird technology glitch. I still would love for you to do a guest blog. Please resend to elizabeth @ zbpublications . com.
